Description
This is an improbable bug. Look it up in an insect key and you won't be able to key it out. New species? you might ask. Probably not, for it was created by the use of a harmonograph and my imagination. However, it does have all the characteristics of an insect: head, thorax, abdomen, two antennae, six legs, exoskeleton, and jointed body. The customary two pairs of wings are missing, so this bug may be from a more primitive lineage of insect, like the bristletails and springtails, that had not yet evolved wings; a hemimetabolous nymph that has yet to develop its wings; or an insect that has evolutionarily lost its wings, such as ants after their mating flights.
