Artist's Description

Three beetles are digging into a sunflower. The seeds in the center of the flower clearly show the Fibonacci series, a classic characteristic of sunflowers. The sunflower is attuned to the sun, and the flowers follow it from sunrise to sunset as the sun crosses the heavens. Like all Asteraceae, or members of the daisy family, the sunflower is really a composite of very small, fertile flowers that make up the large center and larger, infertile flowers that make the long yellow "petals" that surround the center. The little flowers in the center eventually turn into seeds that create the Fibonacci sequence.

About Teresamarie Yawn

Teresamarie Yawn

Teresamarie Yawn creates art that is fantastical, mysterious, and surreal; as well, it can be precise, scientific, and logical.
